The VOMB Squad for Voices’ free annual popup party — with a twist!

This year, our performers are reaching out from isolation to share spoken words, poetry, inspiration and a little history — plus a cocktail and mocktail you can make along with us!

So gather the few ingredients now and you can make your drink along with Voices’ Julie Reynolds Martinez. Then relax and enjoy the show!

The Classic Sidecar — Pandemic Version

“Once an extremely popular drink, it is thought to have originated in Paris during World War I. The Sidecar makes an interesting after-dinner drink as well as a before-dinner cocktail.”

— The New International Bartender’s Guide

In other words, any time is the right time for a Sidecar!

2 oz. brandy

½ oz. lemon juice

1 teaspoon orange marmalade OR 1 oz orange liqueur OR ¼ teaspoon orange extract

Sweetener of choice, to taste

1 teaspoon orange marmalade (or above alternatives)

1 dash bitters (optional)

Follow instructions above.
